BISHOP Boxing Promotions has launched its new subsidiary, Round Queens Agency, a newly established agency to spotlight ring card girls at boxing events.

The organisation highlights striking presentation and performance, pairing beauty with poise to enhance the live fight experience while creating pathways for personal and professional growth.

It also aims to celebrate and uplift women through dignified performance opportunities at boxing events, offering training, exposure, and community engagement that foster confidence, career development, and leadership, with a mission to become the leading platform in Ghana for empowering women in sports entertainment.

Mr Dave Bishop, CEO of Bishop Boxing Promotion (BBP), who serves as Founder and Chairman, said on the launch that the agency seeks to professionalise ring-card representation and build community programmes that uplift young women.

Mr Bishop stated, “Round Queens represents our commitment to showcase talent and character, not just aesthetics. Through events, speaking engagements, and service initiatives, we aim to empower young women and strengthen the community around boxing.”

Consequently, Ms Jacqueline Onasis Manteaw has been named the first President and CEO of the agency (Round Queens).

According to Ms Manteaw on her unveiling, she emphasised, “I am honoured to lead Round Queens as we transform how ring-card roles are perceived centred on professionalism, self-development, and meaningful community impact. We will provide women with skills, visibility, and opportunities to thrive on and off the stage.”

Meanwhile, BBP has announced the latest pairing for the May 8 promotion dubbed: ‘Best of Bukom 3’, slated for the Bukom Boxing Arena.

That will put Henry ‘Assassin Junior’ Malm, with an impeccable record of 11-0, against Sampson Segbedzi, who boasts an impressive 10-1 record, in a highly anticipated match-up expected to throw the arena into frenzy.

A statement released by BBP after both boxers signed for the fight said: “As the countdown begins, fans can expect an evening filled with adrenaline, passion, and the rich heritage of Ghanaian boxing. Both fighters have shown remarkable skill and determination in their careers, making this clash a must-watch for sports enthusiasts.”

Malm, known for his lightning-fast punches and strategic fighting style, has been a dominant force in the ring. Segbedzi, on the other hand, is praised for his resilience and tactical prowess, making this matchup an exciting prospect for boxing aficionados,” the statement explained.
