The hedge fund tycoon currently embroiled in one of the most expensive divorces in US history quietly snapped up a sprawling $72 million waterfront mansion nearly triple the size of his marital home – after his estranged wife accused him of hiding assets during their ill-fated marriage.
John Overdeck, the 56-year-old co-founder of Two Sigma Investments, used a Delaware LLC to purchase the 16,000-square-foot estate in Palm Beach, Florida as his high-stakes divorce trial plays out, the Daily Mail can reveal.
But Overdeck – whose estranged wife Laura, 56, is seeking a staggering billions in the messy split – has also been keeping quiet about another big life event: He has been sharing his new palatial home with a much younger girlfriend.
Public records show the hedge fund manager has been cohabitating there with fellow financier Kimia Shadrokh, a 42-year-old raven haired beauty, 14 years younger than his soon-to-be ex wife.
It wasn’t immediately clear how long the pair have been together but Overdeck’s attorney confirmed their relationship and new living situation.
‘John has been going through his divorce for more than four years,’ his attorney Jonathan W. Wolfe told the Daily Mail. ‘He relocated to Palm Beach and is now in a committed relationship with someone who he met long after this divorce process began.’
Shadrokh, who is currently a managing director of the investment bank Peakstone, was photographed cozying up to Overdeck at the American Academy of Achievement Summit charity gala in Washington, D.C. in June.
Their names also appear as a couple on the Palm Beach Police & Fire Foundation’s website for gifting a $100,000 donation.

But they have otherwise kept a low profile, living behind a gate on the coveted north end of Palm Beach Island where Hollywood icon Sylvester Stallone is among their neighbors.
The estate, which reportedly underwent a $20 million renovation before they arrived, was advertised by the broker Margit Brandt as ’show-stopping’ when it was listed back in January.
The nearly 1-acre Neoclassical compound features six bedrooms, a massive great hall with 26-foot ceilings, a travertine swimming pool with cabana, and 165-feet of water frontage with a new deepwater dock ready to accommodate a large vessel.
Public records obtained by the Daily Mail show the property was purchased by Avocado Enterprises – a licensed limited liability company incorporated in Wilmington, Delaware a few months prior to closing.
Avocado Enterprises was also listed as the owner when a permit to install hurricane shutters was granted in July, with a Matthew Siano identified as the manager, the permit shows.
Siano, for his part, worked with Overdeck at Two Sigma for 20 years, serving as a manager overseeing legal and compliance operations, according to his LinkedIn profile.
Overdeck and Shadrokh both cited the property as their home address when they registered to vote in the spring, according to a Florida Department of State database.
Shadrokh is also listed as the ‘registered agent’ for a business incorporated at the property just days after the closing in January – Chasah Chai Inc.
Overdeck’s estranged wife Laura, 56, is seeking a staggering $6.2 billion in their messy divorce. The couple, who have three children, had been married for nearly 20 years without a prenup before Laura filed for divorce in March 2022
Overdeck, who according to Forbes is worth $8 billion, has offered to give his estranged wife roughly $723 million in tax-free cash as part of the divorce. Laura, however, is instead demanding a 35 percent stake in his firm, which according to her lawyer is worth $6.2 billion
The developments may add fodder to the already sensational court battle currently playing out in New Jersey Family Court as Overdeck and his estranged wife dispute billions of dollars in assets.
The couple, who have three children, had been married for nearly 20 years without a prenup before Laura filed for divorce in March 2022 – igniting a domestic war that has spilled into public view.
Overdeck’s new girlfriend, Kimia Shadrokh, is currently a managing director of the investment bank Peakstone
So far, Overdeck – who according to Forbes is worth $8 billion – has offered to give his estranged wife roughly $723 million in tax-free cash to quash the messy fight.
But Laura has rejected that amount and is instead demanding a 35 percent stake in his firm, which according to her lawyer is worth $6.2 billion. His lawyers, however, have claimed the stake equates to $4.9 billion.
The outcome could determine the future of Two Sigma, with Overdeck and co-founder David Siegel each owning roughly half the company and locked in hostile arbitration over control.
John’s lawyers have argued that Two Sigma is not a marital asset because it was founded two years before they wed in 2002. Her lawyer, however, has countered that the company was just a ‘concept’ then and it only started trading after they married.
In testimony last month, Overdeck said he had always been generous with his wife, depositing hundreds of millions of dollars into their joint account.
He also testified that she withdrew $75 million the day before she filed for divorce.
Still, Laura’s lawyer has accused Overdeck of working ’tirelessly’ to hide assets from her, as well as ‘planning his escape’ during their marriage.

She also alleges in court filings the hedge fund bigwig stripped their marital estate by moving billions of assets into Wyoming trusts with help from Two Sigma employees prior to their split, Bloomberg News previously reported.
In a related case that Laura filed against Seward & Kissel, a firm handling the couple’s estate planning, her lawyer claims Overdeck withdrew at least $55 million from their J.P. Morgan account and has ’taken and secreted’ a $72 million tax refund check from their joint tax return.
But the messiness doesn’t stop there.
As the current case stretches out, Laura has found herself barred from taking the stand after she was allegedly caught hacking her husband’s emails, accessing his computer and photographing confidential emails between the billionaire and his lawyers.
It means she is barred from presenting any affirmative evidence in the case, testifying in support of her claim or calling experts to the stand.
Laura’s lawyers will instead need to grill Overdeck during cross examination to make their case.
And it recently emerged that their son’s fencing coach filed a lawsuit against Laura in 2024 for allegedly waging a smear campaign by insinuating the woman had been having an affair with Overdeck – and that it had ruined their marriage.
A judge later dismissed that suit after the plaintiff failed to follow up with the legal process.
The Daily Mail has reached out to Overdeck, his ex and new girlfriend.
