Bibiani GoldStars were officially crowned 2024–25 Ghana Premier League champions on Saturday following a goalless draw with Medeama SC in their coronation match at Dun’s Park in Bibiani.
The match, played in front of a jubilant home crowd, capped off a historic campaign for the Bibiani-based side, which clinched its first-ever top-flight title last weekend with a commanding 4–0 victory over Accra Lions.
Although Saturday’s fixture ended without goals, the atmosphere remained celebratory as fans packed the stadium to mark the club’s milestone achievement.
At the final whistle, GoldStars players and officials were presented with their winners’ medals before lifting the coveted Premier League trophy amid cheers from supporters.
The Miners’ title triumph means they have become the third consecutive club from the Western Region to win the league, following in the footsteps of Medeama and Hasaacas in recent years.
Their consistent performances and commanding displays throughout the campaign have earned them widespread praise.
Saturday’s coronation drew a large turnout, with dignitaries, supporters, and community members uniting to honor a season that has placed Bibiani firmly on Ghana’s footballing map.
