Jesse Baird’s boyfriend Luke Davies called Triple-0 moments before Beau Lamarre-Condon allegedly shot them dead.

The call took place at 9.50am on February 19, 2024, but it was terminated quickly, so Triple-0 operators tried twice to call him back.

An operator could be heard saying that she heard a male voice say ‘f***off’ before the call dropped out.

Follow-up calls to Davies’ phone went to voicemail.

Davies’ voicemail said: ‘Hi you’ve reached Luke, please leave a message and I’ll get back to you.’

After the alleged murders, Lamarre Condon immediately took his rented Mazda to Decathlon to buy another surfboard bag, CCTV footage showed.

After leaving Baird’s Paddington terrace in the morning of February 19, 2024, footage showed Lamarre-Condon walking into the sports store at Westfield Miranda.

He immediately picked out the same style of surfboard bag he bought just days earlier and bought it for $85. He paid in cash.

Lamarre-Condon is accused of concealing the bodies of Baird and Davies in two surfboard bags and leaving them in the courtyard of Baird’s Paddington rental overnight.

At 1.34pm, Lamarre-Condon could be seen withdrawing $250 cash from an ATM in Mascot.

The court heard he then went to Bunnings in Alexandria and bought a tool bag, bucket, mop, mop wringer, disposable gloves, and other items, but there was no CCTV footage of those transactions.

Baird’s housemate ‘poked’ a surfboard bag and a blue tarp in the back courtyard of their rental, which were oozing red liquid.

The housemate, known by the pseudonym Sarah King, told the court she arrived home to their share house on the day of the alleged murders.

She went into the courtyard (pictured below) and found the bags and tarp, which she had never seen before.

‘I poked the tarp or the surfboard bag,’ she told the court.

Ms King said it didn’t feel unusual: ‘It just sounded like a tarp.’

She took some photos to send to their other housemate, known as Belinda Smith for legal reasons.

The court also heard Lamarre-Condon asked his cop colleague about two major murders, Lilie James (pictured below) and Matthew Leveson, the day before the alleged murders.

Ben Higginson, a former police officer, told the court on Friday that he worked with Lamarre-Condon at an event in the Domain on February 18, 2024.

Lamarre-Condon asked what sort of work he’d been doing, so Mr Higginson told him that he had worked on Lilie James’ murder.

Ms James, 21, was bludgeoned to death by her ex-boyfriend Paul Thijssen, 24, at St Andrew’s Cathedral School in Sydney CBD on October 25, 2023. Thijssen then killed himself.

Mr Higginson told the court that Lamarre-Condon was very interested in the case.

‘I gave him a fair bit of detail about how f***ed up it was, and then some of the things Thijssen had done,’ he said.

When the Crown prosecutor asked what sort of detail he provided, Mr Higginson said: ‘We believe Thijssen used Lily’s phone to text her father to come to the school after he killed her.’

‘[Lamarre-Condon] thought Thijssen was stupid for doing it on CCTV.

‘He asked if Thijssen hadn’t murdered Lily and then been seen on CCTV, would have gotten away with it.

‘I said we don’t only rely on CCTV, there’s a big effort with investigators and so on.’
