Ghanaian dancehall musician Charles Nii Armah Mensah, popularly known as Shatta Wale, has issued a cautionary message to individuals involved in fraudulent activities.

In a Facebook post shared on December 14, 2025, Shatta Wale advised individuals who engage in illegal money-making ventures to be mindful of how they flaunt their wealth on social media.

He explained that those who earn money through legal means should not hesitate to disclose their sources of income as a way of inspiring and guiding others.

“If you make money legally like Shatta Wale, don’t be afraid to show others the way. But if the money is illegal, be careful. Ghetto youth, if you joke with it, they will wipe you out… Adey tell you!” he said.

Citing himself as an example, the dancehall artiste also claimed that he is usually surrounded with envy because of the wealth and success he has attained.

According to the “Street Crown” singer, he has achieved a lot at a relatively young age and firmly dismissed allegations linking him to fraudulent activities.

“A life like this, as a young man, is enviable, I know. But na God use music take do am. I am sorry,” he added.

His comments come amid growing social media discussions linking the dancehall artiste to alleged fraud cases, following recent arrests by the FBI and the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) involving individuals accused of online fraud and romance scams.
