Imisi Ayanwale is the winner of Big Brother Naija Season 10 Imisi Ayanwale is the winner of Big Brother Naija Season 10

The winner of Big Brother Naija Season 10, Opeyemi Ayanwale, popularly known as Imisi, has revealed plans to establish a Non-Governmental Organisation focused on supporting the girl child.

Speaking shortly after receiving an additional N2m cheque from BetKing recently in Lagos, Imisi described the gesture as both overwhelming and inspiring,

The prize was awarded for a competition she won while in the BBNaija house, sponsored by a betting company.

While expressing gratitude for her BBNaija experience and the latest cash prize, Imisi opened up about her childhood struggles, which she described as dramatic and challenging.

She further said her journey had long inspired a desire to support young girls facing similar difficulties.

Imisi said, “I am overwhelmed; I am happy and grateful; I feel good, excited, and delighted. I just feel good seeing all these working in my favour.

“As a lady, I know what it was growing up. So, for me, I would like to do something for a girl child. I am not clear yet, but something like a foundation for the girl child, because that has always been my desire, and I think I really want to do that.

“Things are still looking like a dream to me now, but I really want to do that. While growing up as a girl child, it was a very dramatic time for me.”

The reality show winner, who has been acting for some time before joining the reality show, credited the Big Brother Naija platform for elevating her public profile, saying, “I am happy. I have been an actress for a while now, but Big Brother really gave me the exposure, and I am grateful. It means a whole lot to me.”

At the cheque presentation ceremony, the Head of Marketing at BetKing, Nengi Akinola, explained the rationale behind the cash prize.

According to her, the company sought to reward housemates while also showcasing BetKing’s exclusive games to a wider audience.

Akinola acknowledged the impact of BBNaija in amplifying the firm’s reach, noting, “We released some exclusive games this season, for instance, Danfo Lagos, a take on our popular transportation buses. We also released JJ Ball X, a collaboration with Jay Jay Okocha. It’s a game where the avatar has to kick the ball.

“Recently, we released a game called Film House, where a female character is trying to do certain poses in a bid to cash out on time. In essence, we had certain exclusive games that we wanted to showcase to an entertainment audience, and Big Brother provided us the opportunity to reach those audiences. This is our first time collaborating with Big Brother.”

She emphasised that the brand was evaluating the impact of the collaboration to determine future involvement.

She noted, “The possibilities are endless. We are analysing the value that we have gotten from this, and when we start planning for next year, we will see what is in the cart for us.
