The Vice President and NPP presidential contender, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has ushered in a new age of public transportation in Ghana with the introduction of electric buses.
Bawumia has announced its first batch of electric buses, which will be piloted in Accra on Wednesday, November 27, 2024.The buses are electrically powered and do not consume fuel.With the elimination of gasoline and other related maintenance costs, the cost of public transportation will decrease by 40% to 50%.Speaking at the launch
According to Bawumia, this signals a new era in the public transportation industry and exemplifies the “possibility mindset”.”We are making history today by commissioning these electric buses.
