Renowned Ghanaian hiplife musician Nii Addo Quaynor, popularly known as Tinny, has revealed why the music video for his song ‘Baddest Girl’ was never released.
In an interview with Joy Prime, shared on X on July 3, 2025, Tinny explained that the video was put on hold because Fella Makafui appeared almost fully naked in the shoot.
He further explained that although Fella Makafui was not a well-known celebrity at the time of filming, her management later requested that the video be withheld.
“No, I didn’t hold it back. The people who were holding us down got back to us and said that because of one or two things, we should put the video on hold, it wasn’t going to help her,” Tinny said.
“Yeah, the concept was quite different. Bullgod was the cameraman for that shoot,” he added.
During the same interview, Tinny also addressed rumours that music producer Hammer forced him to switch from rapping in Twi to Ga.
“I decided to do my thing in Twi, but later realized I wasn’t being original. I had to be true to myself and represent where I come from. That’s when I went back to my pen and paper.
“I was a Ga rapper before meeting Hammer. I met Hammer through Paa Dogo when he was recording his album. Hammer was looking for a Ga rapper, and Dogo told him about me. So, it wasn’t Hammer who made me switch,” he explained.
