    Disturbing footage shows suspected soccer fans brawling on the street outside a popular pub following a match.

    A video shared online showed up to 27 people involved in the fight outside G Bar on Richmond’s Swan St, about 4km east of Melbourne‘s CBD, on Saturday night.

    G Bar is a well-known spot for fans fo Melbourne Victory, who tied 2-2 with Melbourne City earlier in the night.

    The footage showed a group of up to 15 people fighting another of up to 12 people.

    Both sides allegedly threw metal chairs and yelled abuse at the other.

    Witness Shabz Pandey, who took the video, said at one point the fight moved down he street to a frozen yoghurt shop where a chair was hurled at its window.

    He claimed the group were ‘in front of a popular bar that many people go to after Melbourne Victory games’.

    Elsa Potter, who worked in the dessert shop, told the Herald Sun several innocent pedestrians ran for cover in the store.

    ‘I had to let everyone out through the back so they weren’t coming back out onto the street,’ she said. 

    ‘It was a crazy night … I was just worried they would try and come in.’ 

    G Bar was closed on Sunday and used a sheet of cardboard to cover a damaged front window.

    Daily Mail Australia has contacted the venue for comment. 

    While the cause of the brawl has not been confirmed, its suspected each side supported opposing soccer teams.

    Victoria Police are investigating the incident and confirmed one 27-year-old man was arrested.

    A Melbourne Victory spokesperson said it was aware of the incident but ‘does not condone any form of violence or antisocial behaviour’.

    ‘The club is working with all relevant stakeholders to gather further information in order to determine whether there is any connection, or otherwise, to last night’s derby,’ they said.

    Anyone with further information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
