Ghanaian rapper Thorsten Owusu Gyimah, popularly known as Yaw Tog has opened up about how social media trolling once got the better of him.

Speaking in an interview on MX24 on October 21, 2025, Yaw Tog admitted that at one point, he took the negative comments and constant trolling on social media personally.

“For social media, everyone knows that Yaw Tog is that one guy that everyone was coming to when it comes to saying a whole lot. I’ve been in several situation and at some point, I took it personal.

“I was wondering why that was done to me but I realised this is the game and they are the people pushing you. People don’t like talking about good stuff, they only like to talk about the bad stuff” he said.

When asked how he was able to handle social media trolls, he said he realised the trolling is all part of the game.

The `sore’ hitmaker further compared the trolling culture to politics, explaining that even in that space, opponents often focus on negative aspects to discredit others.

“Even in politics, when you appear as MP or something, the other opponent goes for the bad things you’ve done just to bring you down. I can’t really say a whole lot about it but that’s the game” he added.
