It’s that time of the year again – the transfer window is now open until September 1 and it’s sure to be a busy period as clubs look to make big signings ahead of the new season.
Here are today’s latest developments from Simon Jones and the Daily Mail Sport team…
Chelsea in talks over Guiu exit
Napoli are continuing talks with Chelsea for Marc Guiu and defender Mamadou Sarr’s proposed loan to Sociedad is progressing. Chelsea have asked about Atalanta defensive prospect Honest Anahor.
Villa look at Leao deal
Aston Villa are exploring the finances of a deal for AC Milan‘s Rafael Leao.
Daily Mail Sport reported last night that the club had made contact over the winger, 27. Turkish giants Galatasaray remain in the mix for the Portuguese as well.
Bakwa off to Lille
Nottingham Forest winger Dilane Bakwa is joining Lille on loan.
The 23-year-old signed for Forest from Strasbourg last September in a deal worth £30million but has failed to have the desired impact.
He is due for a medical today and will play in the Champions League with Lille.
Dilane Bakwa is set to leave after just one season at the City Ground
City set to go back to Enzo
Manchester City are expected to go back in for Chelsea’s Enzo Fernandez.
The Blues previously set City a deadline of 5pm on August 13 to pay £120m to get the deal done – a deadline City did not meet.
But contact has continued with his agent Javier Pastore so City know the 25-year-old is open to coming and now they are set to come back in for the midfielder, who played the final half-hour of Chelsea’s 3-2 win away at Fulham on Monday night.
