A lady was astonished at the unexpected gift item she received at a wedding ceremony following her Aso-Ebi duties.

According to the video, the lady @giftedgift001 said she was a bridesmaid at the wedding and received a souvenir, but the final item she saw left her stunned.

The lady displayed the items in the bag: a portable hair dryer, a rubber cooking spoon, a ceramic plate, and cassava flakes locally known as garri, packaged in a sealed bag.

She congratulated the newlyweds and was surprised to learn that one of the gifts for an Aso-Ebi lady is garri. The Premium Garri Ijebu was the item’s center of attention, with the couple’s name engraved on it.

While some netizens disclosed collecting similar gifts or worse at a wedding, others suggest the lady expressed gratitude since that was what the couple could afford.

    Below are some reactions,

@Linda ls let’s try to be grateful regardless of how big or small what we get is …. Nigeria is tough…. I gave my asoebi girls the little I could, and not a single one of them posted it..
