Justice Blay made damming allegations against Mohammed Camara, Kwame Opoku, and Joseph Ablor

Asante Kotoko’s Interim Management Committee (IMC) has called for a meeting with three senior players; Mohammed Camara, Kwame Opoku, and Joseph Ablor, following damning allegations made by former midfielder Justice Blay during a radio interview.

According to sources cited by Ghanasportspage.com, the IMC has contacted the players individually and scheduled a meeting for Tuesday, July 15, 2025, to address the claims and assess their gravity.

Blay, who was recently released by Kotoko amid rumours of misconduct and poor influence on younger teammates, took to Kumasi-based Pure FM to defend his image.

In doing so, he alleged that several current players, including goalkeeper Camara and midfielder Ablor, were also involved in smoking shisha and drinking alcohol.

“People have been misinformed that I’m the only drunkard in the club, but that’s not true,” Blay stated during the interview, naming the two players as examples of a broader issue.

He further accused Camara and striker Kwame Opoku of personal betrayal, claiming both had been romantically involved with women he was dating at the time.

Kotoko’s leadership is now investigating the matter, with the upcoming meeting intended to verify the claims and determine any possible disciplinary actions moving forward.
