Thomas Partey delivered another strong performance for Arsenal in the Premier League, though the Gunners suffered a narrow 1-0 loss to Newcastle United at St. James’ Park on Saturday. The 31-year-old midfielder showcased his defensive and playmaking abilities throughout the match, playing 86 minutes before being substituted for Jorginho.

Partey’s performance stats highlighted his impact on the game, with three clearances, two successful tackles, and 81 touches on the ball. His passing accuracy was particularly impressive, completing 58 out of 64 passes at a rate of 91%. Partey also contributed two key passes and completed all four of his long balls, illustrating his influence in both defense and attack.

The game’s only goal came in the 12th minute from Alexander Isak, which ultimately sealed the win for Newcastle. The loss leaves Arsenal in fifth place with 18 points after 10 games, while Newcastle moved to ninth with 15 points.

As Arsenal prepares to face Chelsea in their next fixture, Partey’s consistent performances will be vital, especially as he seeks a contract extension with his current deal expiring at the end of the season. Maintaining this form could be key for Partey as he looks to cement his place in the squad and help Arsenal push toward their goals for the season.
