The Asawase Member of Parliament, Mohammed-Muntaka Mubarak, is scheduled to be vetted by Parliament‘s Appointments Committee on Friday, January 24, 2025.

The seasoned politician and long-serving MP for the Asawase constituency has been nominated as the Minister for the Interior.

Muntaka previously served as the Minister for Youth and Sports under the late President John Evans Atta Mills’ administration, where he spearheaded policies aimed at youth empowerment and sports development. Despite facing challenges, he made a significant and lasting impact on the sector.

As a Member of Parliament, Muntaka has been an active participant in parliamentary proceedings, earning respect across party lines for his thoughtful contributions and dedication to national development.

His nomination as Minister for the Interior highlights the confidence in his ability to manage one of Ghana’s most critical portfolios.
