Controversial staunch NDC supporter Frank Kwaku Appiah, popularly known as Appiah Stadiumhas broken his silence following the circulation of a viral video showing him pouring water on an individual in public.
The video which has since gone viral on social media captured a heated roadside confrontation involving Appiah Stadium and a fellow driver.
Known for his outspoken and often comedic public appearances, Appiah was seen angrily confronting a trotro driver, questioning where he was coming from and accusing him of reckless driving.
According to eyewitness footage, the other driver responded to Appiah’s questions, but the response appeared to further infuriate him.
In the heat of the moment, Appiah Stadium allegedly picked up a bottle of water and poured it on the driver who was seated in a vehicle on the opposite lane.
Despite pleas from passengers in the other car, some of whom appeared excited to see him and urged him to ignore the driver, Appiah reportedly ahead with the act.
In a video shared on his TikTok page on Tuesday, January 6, Appiah Stadium narrated the events that led to the incident.
He explained that the confrontation occurred while he was part of a convoy linked to the Dwease Municipal Chief Executive.
According to Appiah, the driver of a commercial vehicle allegedly hurled insults at members of the convoy after spotting them in traffic, a situation he said provoked his reaction.
He also mentioned that the incident happened during a period when he had been active at major public events.
Acknowledging that his actions were inappropriate, Appiah Stadium knelt down in his TikTok video and publicly apologised to Ghanaians, appealing for forgiveness over his behaviour during what he described as a heated and emotionally charged moment.
