Sarah Adwoa Safo has debunked online reports claiming her father has passed away

Former Member of Parliament for Dome-Kwabenya and Head of the Safo family, Sarah Adwoa Safo, has strongly refuted circulating online reports claiming that her father, Apostle Kwadwo Safo Kantanka, has passed away.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, Adwoa Safo described the publication, which appeared on some online portals, as “false, malicious, and deeply insensitive,” stressing that her father is hale and hearty.

The former lawmaker cautioned media outlets spreading such unverified reports to immediately retract the false claims or face legal consequences.

“My father is alive, in good health, and going about his normal duties. These death hoaxes are reckless and disrespectful. I am warning all those behind these publications to retract and apologise immediately, or we will not hesitate to seek redress in court,” Adwoa Safo stated.

She further revealed that Apostle Kwadwo Safo will mark his birthday on August 30, and that the family, together with the Kristo Asafo Church, is preparing a grand celebration in his honour.
