    Nollywood actress Yvonne Jegede has finally addressed long-standing rumours suggesting a close relationship between her and Annie Idibia, firmly dismissing the claims as untrue.

    Speaking during an interview on NaijaFM 102.7, Yvonne clarified that her only interaction with Annie Idibia was during the shoot of 2Face Idibia’s iconic African Queen music video.

    “Apart from the video for African Queen, I don’t think anybody has seen us together before. We don’t have common friends,” she said.

    The actress stressed that there has never been any form of friendship between them, describing the narrative circulating online as baseless.

    “I don’t have a friendship relationship with Annie. I don’t know where they are getting that narrative from. Back then, I only walked into a studio, did my thing for the African Queen video, and left,” she explained.

    Yvonne Jegede also addressed claims that she and Annie Idibia unfollowed each other on social media, stating that such assumptions are inaccurate.

    According to her, they were never following each other on social media, so the narrative that they unfollowed each other is false.

    Her comments have put to rest speculations of any bond beyond their brief professional encounter during the music video shoot.

    Below are some of the comments;

    “Yvonne and Uche Ogbodo are always on the wrong path of truth.”

    “She knew you had a silent hatred for her, the reason she kept her distance.“

    “Seems like you’ve always had beef with her… waiting for the opportunity to let it out.“

    “But why exactly do we need this explanation??? I’m sure no one was asking… girl bye.”
