Nigerian Afrobeat musician Davido has revealed that whenever he has a misunderstanding with his wife, Chioma Rowland Adeleke, something unfortunate tends to happen to his career.

In a video shared on Instagram on April 9, 2025, Davido, during an interview, described his wife as the embodiment of grace in his life.

He explained that whenever they have a disagreement, that grace falters.

“My wife has always had this thing over me, even when we were young. Every time I fight her, something bad happens to my business. So, if I fight her, she warns me, and I plead with her. She has this grace over me,” he said in an interview with The Breakfast Club.

Davido also expressed gratitude to Chioma for her support in both his career and family life.

He also mentioned that Chioma bonds well with his other children from different mothers.

“She knows all my kids, and they love her, especially my daughter. There were times I was even scared to bring my other kids around her. I didn’t even have to introduce her to my kids, they just got along so well.

“Before we got married, we were together for like eleven years. We met in school and started our relationship when I was eighteen years old,” he added.
