Following numerous jabs thrown at her after winning ‘Artiste of the Year’ at the 2025 Ghana Music Awards USA, Ghanaian gospel musician Empress Gifty has expressed her frustration.
In a post shared on Instagram on August 24, 2025, Empress Gifty stated that anyone paid to insult her or tarnish her reputation would be dealt with accordingly.
To prove the seriousness of her warning, Empress Gifty invoked the spirit of her late mother, calling on her God to deal with anyone plotting evil against her in secret.

“This is my prayer: Anyone who has been paid or influenced to insult or tarnish my image without offending you, or whoever plans any evil against me in secret places, should be dealt with by the God of my mother. So shall it be,” she said.
The “Watch Me” singer, in a separate post, continued, “I have called the God of my mother Agaga to deal with anybody who I have not offended, but together with people I don’t know and allow people to insult me for no reason. Agaga Agaga Agaga let your God fight for me now in Jesus’ name, Amen.”
Empress Gifty emerged as the overall winner at the Ghana Music Awards USA, clinching the prestigious Artiste of the Year title.
