The Nigerian clergyman, Apostle Johnson Suleiman has sparked debate with his recent sermon, where he advised men on what to consider when choosing a partner.

In a viral video, he opined that women who ask men for transport fare to visit them should be avoided and left by men seeking a marriage partner.

His statement has generated heated takes on social media, with many criticizing his views as outdated and misogynistic. Others in defense of him, stated he was simply advising men to seek partners with independence and self-sufficiency.
