Ghana international Antoine Semenyo

Ghana international Antoine Semenyo bagged the Man-of-the-Match prize after inspiring Bournemouth to victory over Everton in the English FA Cup.

The Black Stars forward started and lasted the entire duration of the match as the Cherries cruised to a 2-0 victory over the Toffees at Goodison Park. He was impressive throughout the game, completing 17 of 27 passes while registering two shots on target.

The former Bristol City marksman also won six of 13 ground duels, made an interception and registered two tackles in all. Additionally, the Ghanaian forward made six clearances in the game, earning him the man of the match award.

James Tarkowski, who is the captain of Everton, endured a terrible afternoon. The 32-year-old defender conceded a penalty before committing a blunder for Bournemouth’s second goal of the match.

Semenyo won and converted from the spot in the 22nd minute to open the scoring for the visitors.

England international Daniel Jebbison capitalised on James Tarkowski’s mistake to slot home the second goal of the match before the interval.

And with no additional goal in the much-anticipated clash, the Cherries cruised to victory, ensuring their qualification to the round 5 of the FA Cup competitions this season.

The 25-year-old Ghanaian forward has been in scintillating form this season for the Cherries, scoring nine goals and providing four assists from 26 games across competitions.

In the FA Cup competition, Semenyo has racked up two goals and provided an assist from two appearances.
