Bournemouth forward Antoine Semenyo has been shortlisted for the Premier League Player of the Month award for August after a blistering start to the 2025/26 season.
The Ghanaian international featured in all three of Bournemouth’s opening fixtures, producing two goals and an assist to establish himself as one of the league’s early standout performers.
His sharp finishing and direct running have made him a constant threat for opposition defences, while his end product has directly fueled the Cherries’ points return.
He will be competing for the award alongside Erling Haaland of Manchester City, Hugo Ekitike of Liverpool, Marc Guéhi of Crystal Palace, Dominik Szoboszlai of Liverpool, Jack Grealish of Everton following his summer switch from City, Joao Pedro of Chelsea, and Riccardo Calafiori of Arsenal.

The winner will be determined by a combination of a public vote and an expert panel.
Semenyo is currently with the Black Stars camp, where Ghana are preparing for their 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Chad on September 4, 2025 and Mali on September 8, 2025.
His nomination caps a fine month and underlines the growing influence of the 25-year-old at both club and international level.
