Antoine Semenyo has been named AFC Bournemouth’s Player of the Month for August, capping off a brilliant start to the 2025/26 Premier League campaign.

The Ghanaian forward has been central to Andoni Iraola’s side, combining goals, assists, and relentless energy in the opening weeks. He began the season with a statement performance at Anfield, scoring twice in a thrilling 4-2 defeat to Liverpool.

One of his strikes, a dazzling solo effort has already earned a nomination for the Premier League’s Goal of the Month.

Semenyo followed up that display with a decisive contribution in Bournemouth’s first victory of the season, setting up Marcus Tavernier for the only goal in a 1-0 win over Wolves.

His influence continued in the Cherries’ 3-2 triumph at Tottenham Hotspur, where, despite not finding the net himself, his tireless running and attacking presence were vital to the team’s success.

The 25-year-old’s all-round impact did not go unnoticed. Bournemouth supporters voted overwhelmingly in his favour, making him the first Player of the Month winner of the new season.

For Semenyo, it is a reward for his consistency and a signal that he is fast becoming one of the Cherries’ most influential players.
