British heavyweight boxing champion Anthony Joshua took a break from the gloves and spotlight to soak in the calm of Ghana’s coast, enjoying a luxurious boat cruise courtesy of Ghanaian business magnate Ibrahim Mahama.

The two-time unified world champion, who arrived in Ghana on Friday, June 13, 2025, as part of his visit for the Legacy Rise Sports Battle of the Beasts event, has been actively engaging with locals and appears to be thoroughly enjoying his stay.

Joshua, secured in a life jacket, was all smiles as he cruised the tranquil waters of Ada alongside Ibrahim Mahama and Sharaf Mahama, son of President John Dramani Mahama.

The trio set sail from Mahama’s private beachfront property in Ada, drawing admiration from both fans and social media users.

Sharaf led the way on a jet ski, confidently navigating the waters, while Joshua and Ibrahim Mahama followed closely behind in a speedboat, sharing laughter and soaking in the peaceful surroundings.

Footage from the outing, which quickly circulated on social media, captured the boxer’s relaxed demeanour, far removed from the intensity of the boxing ring.

Many fans expressed awe at the serene scenes, while others humorously commented on the high-profile hospitality offered by the Mahama family.

Earlier during his visit, Joshua was also seen riding a motorbike, smiling and waving as fans cheered him on through the streets.
