A second Hull City player has crashed their car on the way to training, just three weeks after their team-mate Sorba Thomas flipped his vehicle.
A Mercedes was pictured on its side on a residential road close to the Premier League club’s training ground.
The identity of the player remains unknown, but midfielder Lucas Gourna-Douath posed for a photograph with the car in question in an Instagram post on Wednesday.
Humberside Police have confirmed emergency services responded to an incident and that no-one was injured.
‘Officers and emergency services were called to reports of a single vehicle road traffic collision on Millhouse Woods Lane in Cottingham at around 8.30am this morning (Thursday, 1 October 2026).
‘Thankfully, no one was injured as a result of the collision.’

Lucas Gourna-Douath joined the newly promoted Premier League club in the summer
Sorba Thomas was involved in a crash that saw his car flip onto its roof on his way to training last month
Gourna-Douath, who signed for the Tigers in a £3million move from RB Salzburg in the summer, had recently received the new vehicle.
‘Another one! 2026 GLC 53 sourced for Lucas Gourna,’ the post read. ‘Thank you for your order.’
The incident comes three weeks after Thomas flipped his Land Rover on the way to training.
The 27-year-old walked away from the crash, which happened on Millhouse Woods Lane in Cottingham at around 8.30am.
His vehicle, a grey Land Rover Defender with a personalised number plate, was pictured on its roof, with broken windows.
Residents had looked on stunned at the crash on the narrow road, where locals say speeds typically only hit 15mph.
Thomas escaped injury in the crash and came off the bench for Hull the following day in their 2-2 draw against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
