Former Chicago Sky star Marina Mabrey has finally spoken out about her time in the Windy City and whether she left the franchise because of issues with Angel Reese.

Mabrey made it clear as day while filming a video with Reese while both gear up for the new Unrivaled basketball league.

Reese saw Mabrey behind her, called her over, and asked her teammate point-blank about their time together.

‘Money Mabrey, I have a conspiracy. People want to know. Marina, did you leave Chicago because of me?’ Reese said.

‘No!’ Mabrey immediately responded, with the former teammates laughing. ‘I love Angel, the real ones know.’

Mabrey then obliged Reese’s request to twerk on her live video.

Angel Reese and Marina Mabrey addressed the latter’s exit from the Chicago Sky last July

Mabrey said she did not leave the Sky because of any problem with Reese and ‘loves’ her

When Mabrey was traded to the Connecticut Sun in July, she said she wanted to keep the reason she was leaving town ‘in-house’.

Mabrey then cited wanting to play for a team who could win championships, as the Sky did not make the WNBA postseason last year, one of only four league teams not to do so.

Mabrey also mentioned coming to Chicago under former head coach James Wade, and having to deal with multiple systems, per the Chicago Sun-Times.

There seems to be zero bad blood between the former teammates, with them possibly facing off multiple times in Unrivaled.

Reese is on Team Rose, while Mabrey is on Team Phantom.
