Former Ghana captain Andre Ayew scored his first goal for NAC Breda in their exciting 3-3 draw against Feyenoord in round 26 of the Dutch Eredivisie.

The match, played at the Rat Verlegh Stadion, saw NAC Breda produce a spirited performance to hold the league’s second-placed side in a six-goal thriller.

Ayew, who joined the Yellow-Blacks during the last winter transfer window, finally opened his account for the club after nine appearances, marking an important moment in his short spell at the club.

The game also featured contributions from other Ghanaian players as ex- Right to Dream player Kamal Sowah also found the back of the net, while experienced defender Denis Odoi came on as a second-half substitute.

Despite the impressive result against one of the league’s top sides, NAC Breda remain in the relegation zone in 17th place with 23 points as they continue their fight for survival in the Dutch top flight.

The Yellow-Blacks will now prepare for their next challenge when they travel to face Go Ahead Eagles.

At 36, Ayew will also be hoping his performances in the Netherlands strengthen his chances of earning a place in the Black Stars squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
