Tomorrow night, Témiscouata’s pride Leïla Beaudoin (13–1, 2 KOs) will compete for the unified world championship crown of the super featherweight division (130 lb). The WBA, WBO, and IBF world titles held by Alycia Baumgardner (16–1, 7 KOs) will all be on the line in the fight, scheduled for 12 rounds of three minutes, to be held at the Kaseya Center in Miami and broadcast worldwide starting at 8:00 p.m. (ET) on Netflix.
This bout will serve as the co-main event of the card promoted by Most Valuable Promotions (MVP), whose main attraction will pit Olympic gold medalist and six-time heavyweight world champion Anthony Joshua (28–4, 25 KOs) against the popular Jake Paul (12–1, 7 KOs).
The official weigh-in for the event took place today. The stage is set for tomorrow, as Quebec challenger Leïla Beaudoin tipped the scales at 130 lb, while American champion Alycia Baumgardner weighed in at 129.2 lb.
“If some people still doubt me after everything I’ve been through to get here, that’s their problem. This is my moment. I’m here to do my job and win. That’s exactly what I will do, and you’ll see it on Friday night,” said EOTTM protégé Leïla Beaudoin during the press conference held the day before the fight.
