The Referees Manager at the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Alexander Neequaye Kotey, has disclosed that infrastructural challenges have led to the delay in the implementation of Video Assistant Referee (VAR) technology in the Ghana Premier League.

According to him, certain facilities at the various stadia need to be upgraded to meet the requirements for VAR implementation.

The veteran referee noted that logistical deficits and other critical factors must be addressed before approval can be granted for VAR to be used in the country.
