NDC flagbearer, John Mahama NDC flagbearer, John Mahama

The Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Mahama has slammed the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia administration for neglecting to address important concerns that Ghanaians face.

The administration, according to Mahama, prioritizes words over substantive action.

In a November 25 Facebook post, the NDC flagbearer said he was especially worried about the disregard for farmers and promised that if won in the general elections of 2024, his administration would act decisively to help them.

“Over the last 8 years, this Addo-Bawumia government has prioritised slogans over action. They have forgotten about our farmers. The NDC will deliver.”

The former President further noted that the hardship facing Ghanaians, the rising prices of food, the lack of development in our communities, among others is because of the criminal supervision of the destruction of the economy by the NPP government.

“During an interaction with members of the Western Regional House of Chiefs in Sekondi, I listened to their expressions of frustration by the traditional leaders about the lack of development over the last eight years.

“I am appalled at the state of roads in the twin city, and other constituencies in the region not to talk about the stagnation of development.

“This is not the Western Region I’ve been visiting. Our agenda to Reset Ghana towards Building the Ghana we want will benefit the region and lift up the state of infrastructure here,” Mahama said in another Facebook post.
