Ghanaian veteran actor Agya Koo appears to be making a major comeback to the movie industry after years away from active acting.

The legendary Kumawood actor has been captured back on a movie set in August 2026 as a part of the cast of a new movie by fellow actor Kwadwo Nkansah Lil Win, under his Wezzy Empire.

For years, Agya Koo has been noticeably absent from the movie scene. His absence followed a period of controversy and disagreements within the industry.

At one point, he described his break from acting as a sabbatical and later spoke about how some producers had sidelined him.

He also previously revealed that he had considered quitting acting altogether, with reports at the time indicating that he was contemplating concentrating on music or evangelism.

Agya Koo later opened up about some of the difficulties he faced in the industry, including his claim that producers had plotted against his career after he refused to take part in a nude scene. He also spoke about health concerns that affected his participation in night shoots.

However, it appears the veteran actor has now had a change of heart.

In a chat with vloggers and bloggers on the set, including Sean TV, Agya Koo revealed that he had previously decided to stop acting but has now changed his decision and is back in the movie industry.

The actor expressed his excitement about being on the set of Lil Win’s new project and praised the storyline of EP.

According to Agya Koo, the movie is not just about entertainment but contains several valuable lessons that audiences can learn from.

He explained that he was enjoying his time on the set because of the quality and message of the story.
