Ghanaian actor Kwaku Manu has described his colleague, Kofi Adu, popularly known as Agya Koo, as the greatest of all time (GOAT) in Kumawood.

In a viral video shared on TikTok on November 18, 2024, Kwaku Manu said that no matter the character Agya Koo portrayed, he consistently delivered with skill and flair.

He said Agya Koo has dominated the movie industry for over ten years.

Sharing profound insights about the veteran actor, he said Agya Koo has had numerous opportunities that others in the Kumawood film industry have not experienced.

“Agya Koo is exceptionally talented; even former President John Agyekum Kufuor has previously invited him to his home — no one else in the Kumawood sector has received such an incredible opportunity. When the Jubilee House was finally inaugurated, Agya Koo was included in the dedication ceremony,” he remarked in the video sighted by GhanaWeb.

“We regarded Agya Koo as a deity in the film industry; some would come to his house to pound fufu and wash dishes after meals,” he added.

The actor also shared thoughtful reflections regarding the legacy that the iconic Agya Koo has established in the movie industry.

Kwaku Manu expressed his appreciation for Agya Koo’s past contributions, and how he made them feel at ease, provided guidance, and steered them in the right direction.

He also commended Agya Koo for his distinctiveness, stardom, and expertise within the film industry.
