Angel Asiamah, husband of jailed evangelist Nana Agradaa, has disclosed that his wife’s first wish from behind bars is to seek forgiveness from some three leading political figures.
In his sermon on August 3, 2025, Asiamah, who was preaching to the congregation at the Heavenway Champion International Ministries, shared a conversation he had with his wife during his recent visit to her.
“I remember visiting my wife at the Nsawam Prison. I asked her what she would say to the world if she were given just a minute.
“She said she would use that moment to apologise to three individuals: first, His Excellency President Mahama, second, Vice President Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, and third, Lawyer Sammy Gyamfi.
“She would plead that God touches their hearts to forgive her,” he said.
Why Agradaa is in prison
Born Patricia Asiedua Asiamah, the former traditional priestess–turned-evangelist was convicted on July 3, 2025, of defrauding by false pretence and charlatanic advertisement after her 2022 “money-doubling” scheme lured worshippers to hand over large sums with promises of miraculous returns.
An Accra Circuit Court sentenced her to 15 years’ Imprisonment with hard labour and she was transferred to the Nsawam Female Prison two days later.
According to her husband, Agradaa has already started a small ministry inside the prison, preaching to fellow inmates and “winning souls for Christ.”
