Felix Afena-Gyan scored a dramatic stoppage-time winner to hand Amedspor a crucial victory over Vanspor in the TFF 1. Lig on Monday night.

The Ghanaian forward struck in the 94th minute to secure all three points, ensuring Amedspor remain third in the standings as they intensify their push for promotion to the Turkish topflight.

Afena-Gyan’s late winner was his fourth goal for the club since arriving on loan from Italian side Cremonese. The agreement reportedly includes an option for a permanent transfer.

The 23-year-old is aiming to rediscover his best form in Turkey after an inconsistent spell in Italy. His recent performances have boosted both his club’s promotion hopes and his personal ambitions.

Afena-Gyan is targeting a return to Ghana’s national team setup ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with his latest decisive contribution strengthening his case for international recall.
