Aduana FC have made an official move to sign highly-rated former Vision FC center-back Ali Mohammed, as they look to hijack a proposed deal with Hearts of Oak.

The towering defender has been on the radar of Hearts of Oak for weeks, with negotiations already ongoing for a permanent switch.

However, fresh reports indicate that Aduana FC have now contacted the player’s camp in an attempt to sway him towards Dormaa instead of Accra.

Sources close to both clubs say the race is now wide open, with Aduana keen to strengthen their backline ahead of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League campaign. The club is reportedly ready to match or better the terms offered by Hearts of Oak.

Ali Mohammed, who rose to prominence with Vision FC in the Division One League, is considered one of the most promising young defenders in the domestic game. His composure, aerial strength and ability to play from the back have attracted interest from several clubs.

With both clubs pushing hard, the coming days could prove decisive as the player weighs his options ahead of a crucial move that could define the next stage of his career.
