Aduana FC boss Cioaba Aristica has admitted his side fell short in attack following their painful 1-0 defeat to Nations FC in the MTN FA Cup semi-final at the Swedru Stadium.

The game was decided early when Emmanuel Annor scored in just the eighth minute to hand Nations FC the advantage, a lead they held onto until full time to book a place in the final of the 2025/26 competition.

The Fire Boys, who had made their intentions clear of winning the FA Cup this season, pushed hard for a response but lacked the cutting edge in the final third, leaving them frustrated at full time.

Reacting after the game, the Romanian tactician pointed to a defensive lapse and poor attacking display as key reasons behind the defeat.

“First, let me congratulate Nations FC on the win. It is coming from one mistake by our defensive line. Our midfield and attacking line did not have the inspiration today, and we didn’t have the chance to score,” he said.

Also, Aristica accepted responsibility for the result, acknowledging the team’s limitations on the day.

“We had a problem with our attack. We will accept responsibility as a team. This is our squad, and this is our level,” Aristica added.

The defeat ends Aduana’s hopes of lifting the FA Cup this season, a competition they had strongly targeted, while Nations FC march on to the final as they chase their first major trophy.
