    Jeremiah Quayson, the Director of Philbro Group, has strongly denied any involvement in the Kwabena Adu-Boahene case, a scandal that has captivated the nation.

    He emphasised that the company does not trade in automobiles and had no connection to the BMW 740D vehicle allegedly linked to Adu-Boahene, a former Director-General of the National Signals Bureau.

    “We want to clarify the news circulating on social media about our company supposedly selling a luxury vehicle to Adu-Boahene through his lawyer, Atta Akyea.

    “We want to make it abundantly clear that our company does not deal in automobiles. We do not sell luxury vehicles, nor do we have any automobile company in our portfolio,” Quayson stated during a press conference held on Friday, August 1, 2025, at the company’s factory at Oyarifa.

    He further stated that the company distances itself from the allegations of automobile dealings.

    “Our operations at Philbro Group are clear and straightforward. We are a real estate company with a commodity component. We engage in food processing, and our charitable efforts include the Philbro Food Bank. Under Philbro Oil, we produce Philfry Vegetable Oil and Arielle Vegetable Oil.

    “There is no way you will find ‘Philbro Automobile’ on our website or in our portfolio. I also want to clarify that this transaction occurred between our CEO and a third party. After completing his due diligence, the individual in question, Adu-Boahene, accepted the offer and made payments, concluding the matter. It was only recently that he decided to bring this issue to light and associate it with our company,” he added.

    Providing further details, he stated that;

    “We want to reiterate emphatically that we do not sell cars. Furthermore, the vehicle was purchased locally by a dealer in Ghana and was not imported by our CEO from anywhere in the world. We also wish to clarify that our CEO acted independently, not on behalf of Philbro Group, so it is inappropriate for Adu-Boahene’s legal counsel to claim that Philbro Group sold them a car. We do not engage in such transactions.”

    He has, therefore, urged the general public to disregard the claims linked to them.

    “I urge the general public to disregard these allegations and false accusations against our brand. We remain committed to supporting the youth and aim to create jobs while assisting the less privileged in society,” Quayson remarked.

    The Adu-Boahene case, which has generated significant public interest, involves allegations of illicit activities.
