Mzbel has again addressed persistent speculation surrounding the paternity of her son, Adepa, widely known as Okomfo Black.

She gave fresh clarity during a recent interview with ZionFelix.

The Ghanaian singer and entrepreneur, known in private life as Belinda Nana Ekua Amoah, said the long-running claims linking her late colleague Castro to her son were entirely false and had no factual basis.

She stressed that Castro was not Adepa’s biological father, adding that the truth behind her son’s parentage was far more complicated than many assumed.

According to Mzbel, revealing the real identity of her son’s father would ignite widespread controversy that would linger for years.

She explained that the situation was particularly sensitive because the man involved was a pastor, a detail she said would shock many and fuel endless public debate.

She further described the man as someone widely regarded as a man of God, reiterating that this alone should make it clear that Castro could not have been her child’s father.

Mzbel also reflected on her past relationship with the late musician, explaining that their friendship and professional bond eventually fell apart after Castro began associating closely with high-profile footballers, including Asamoah Gyan.

She suggested that this shift created distance between them and marked the end of what had once been a strong connection.

Despite repeatedly addressing the issue over the years, Mzbel expressed frustration that many Ghanaians continue to link Castro to her son.

She questioned why the rumours persisted when she had consistently denied them in public.

She added that she knew Castro’s family well and maintained that if he had truly been Adepa’s father, she would never have prevented him or his relatives from having access to the child.

For her, that fact alone should have put the speculation to rest long ago.
