    Actress Kalsoume Sinare Gets Big Appointment As Ghana’s Ambassador To Spain

    Veteran Ghanaian actress and prominent NDC stalwart, Kalsoume Sinare, has received a major diplomatic appointment as she has been nominated by President John Dramani Mahama to serve as Ghana’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Spain.

    Her nomination comes as part of a newly released list of 15 distinguished individuals tipped for ambassadorial and high commissioner roles, pending approval by Parliament.

    Alongside Kalsoume, other notable nominees include former La-Dadekotopon MP Nii Amasah Namoale and former Kumasi Mayor Kojo Bonsu.

    The list also features distinguished academics like Professor Kwasi Obiri-Danso, former Vice-Chancellor of KNUST, and Associate Professor Dora Francisca Edu-Buandoh, the first female Pro Vice-Chancellor of the University of Cape Coast.

    Kalsoume now joins the growing list of Ghanaian entertainment personalities who have earned appointments under the current administration. Others include actor and politician John Dumelo, media personality Abeiku Santana, actress Kafui Danku, and actor James Gardiner and many others.

    Kalsoume Sinare is celebrated for her decades-long contribution to Ghana’s film industry. With numerous acting credits and a strong legacy that has inspired countless Ghanaian women.

    Beyond the screen, Kalsoume has been an active voice in Ghanaian politics, particularly within the National Democratic Congress (NDC). She has openly supported President Mahama in previous election campaigns and has consistently used her platform to advocate for development and social issues.

    As it stands now, this list of appointments is expected to undergo parliamentary scrutiny in the coming weeks.
