Nollywood actress Jemima Osunde recounts a terrifying experience of food poisoning she suffered after eating contaminated food at a movie set in Ibadan, Oyo State.
Sharing on Twitter (X), Osunde expressed regret about taking a job and staying under the care of an undisclosed production team to shoot in Ibadan.
In her tweet,
“I’ve never regretted anything the way I regret taking that job and going with them to Ibadan to shoot under their care.. Got h pylori from set food and the aftermath GERD has left me fighting for my life the last 3 years. The past month has really been something. *sigh”.
She disclosed that she has been fighting for her life for the past three years due to GERD -gastroesophageal reflux disease (ACID REFLUX) after contracting H pylori from the food served on set.
Online users have expressed empathy for the actress and similar experiences, highlighting the terrible nature of the disease.
Given that actors frequently kiss during filming, many said the condition is not just tied to food poisoning but may also be spread through kissing.
