    Kumawood actor Sylvester Agyapong, popularly known as Sly, has secured an appointment at the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council (ARCC).

    This information was brought to light on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, by the Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr. Frank Amoakohene.

    He made the announcement via his social media page and revealed that the actor has been appointed as a Deputy Political Coordinator for the ARCC.

    Dr. Amoakohene in his post praised Sly for his dedication and years of service as a Communications Officer for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Kwadaso Constituency.

    He also described the appointment as well-deserved recognition of his discipline, hard work, and commitment to political coordination.

    The full congratulatory message of the the Regional Minister reads: “Congratulations are in order! Today, I received Mr. Sylvester Agyapong, who has been appointed as a Deputy Political Coordinator for the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council (ARCC). Sylvester has served diligently as a Communications Officer for the Kwadaso Constituency, demonstrating dedication, discipline, and a deep understanding of political coordination. His new role is a testament to his commitment and hard work. We wish him the very best as he takes on this important responsibility in service to the Region and the Nation.”

    As Deputy Political Coordinator, Sly is expected to serve as a liaison between the Regional Minister, Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs), and the ruling party leadership.

    His duties will include helping to streamline political activities and ensuring smooth coordination of government and party programs across the region.
