Popular Ghanaian actor Kwaku Manu has shared an emotional video of himself stranded in Dubai following the sudden closure of civilian airspace after reported airstrikes involving the United States, Israel and Iran.
In the video posted online, the Kumawood star appeared visibly shaken as he explained the purpose of his trip.
According to him, he travelled to Dubai strictly for business to purchase perfumes to restock his shop in Ghana, with plans to return home shortly after completing his purchases.
However, events took an unexpected turn when he received an emergency alert notification from authorities in the United Arab Emirates announcing the shutdown of airspace.
Flights were suspended almost immediately, leaving passengers stranded with no clear indication of when normal operations would resume.
“I came here to buy perfumes, and I received an emergency alert from the UAE. I just came to buy perfumes and now see what I am going through,” he lamented in the video, his voice heavy with frustration.
At one point, the actor attempted to lighten the mood by referencing fellow Ghanaian blogger Zionfelix, who was also recently stranded in Dubai.
Kwaku Manu joked that his situation felt more distressing because, unlike Zionfelix, who was only in transit, he had deliberately travelled for business and now finds himself stuck indefinitely.
Despite the humour, the actor’s distress was evident. He appeared emotional and, at times, almost on the verge of tears as he spoke about the uncertainty surrounding his return to Ghana.
The closure of airspace has affected several travellers in the region, with many awaiting official communication from airlines regarding rescheduled flights.
As of now, there has been no clear timeline for the reopening of civilian airspace, leaving stranded passengers like Kwaku Manu in a state of uncertainty.
