Actor-turned-politician John Setor Dumelo has triumphed in the December 7 general elections, winning the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency seat.
This marks Dumelo’s third attempt at securing the seat.
His victory sees him unseat the incumbent Member of Parliament, Lydia Alhassan, paving the way for him to represent the constituency in Parliament in 2025.
Dumelo achieved a decisive win at all polling stations located on the University of Ghana campus, cementing his success and affirming strong support from the youth and the academic community.
