Kwame Asare Obeng, also known as A-Plus, is the independent parliamentary candidate for the Gomoa Central Constituency. He has responded to a Global InfoAnalytics poll that indicates it will be challenging for independent candidates to reach Parliament.

The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) is predicted by Global InfoAnalytics to secure 150 seats in Parliament. Twenty-one seats are reportedly tossups, while the NPP is expected to win 104 seats, according to the survey. Only one independent candidate is expected to reach Parliament, according to Global InfoAnalytics.

Kwame Asare Obeng responded to the poll on his verified Facebook page by wishing all independent parliamentary candidates in the nation the best of luck and advising them not to give up. He clarified that the general elections are more than a month away, emphasizing that it takes a lot of time to bring about a significant shift in politics.

The fact that there are roughly twenty-one seats that are still up for grabs should give the independent candidates some comfort, he added in his post. Kwame Asare Obeng said he was hopeful of unseating the New Patriotic Party (NPP) from the Gomoa Central seat.

Only one independent candidate is expected to win this year’s parliamentary election, according to Global Info Analytics. I want to wish all of my fellow independent candidates the very best and encourage you to keep going. A month gives committed candidates plenty of time to make big strides in politics. The good news is that any candidate could win any of the 21 seats up for grabs. Part of his article states, “By working together, we can grow our numbers and get closer to establishing a parliamentary caucus.”
