Gideon Boako, the parliamentary candidate for the Tano North Constituency of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and spokesperson for Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has encouraged young people to abstain from political violence. Boako stressed that no politician, regardless of party or status, is worth sacrificing one’s life or spilling blood for when speaking at a peace walk and talk event in Duayaw Nkwanta.

The Tano North local council of churches planned the event on Saturday, November 16th, with the goal of fostering harmony and peace as the nation gets ready for the 2024 elections.

Many political parties, local authorities, and traditional chiefs attended the event, demonstrating their shared commitment to a peaceful election process.

During his speech, Dr. Boako emphasised the value of preserving peace and urged the young people to put their own welfare ahead of political agendas. He reminded them that while governments change, the community’s safety and future should always come first.

He urged young people to participate in politics in a positive way without using violence, saying that “no politician is worth the sacrifice of your blood.”
