Kumawood actress Christiana Awuni has shared the harrowing experience she endured during her marriage.

In a conversation with Empress Gifty on UTV on February 16, 2025, she explained that the trauma she went through has left a lasting scar, making her lose interest in men whenever marriage is mentioned.

“Due to what I went through in marriage and relationships, I no longer have feelings for men. I can be good friends with a man for many years, but as soon as he proposes to me, I stop talking to him. The trauma from my marriage has left a scar on me, so whenever someone proposes, I get scared,” she stated

She also disclosed that she was physically abused and deprived of proper meals

She said her poor diet during the marriage led to developing an ulcer.

“I even got an ulcer because I was poorly fed. The man I married had money and was also rich, but he stopped providing for my children and me immediately after we got married,” she stated.

Due to her past experiences, Awuni expressed that she no longer believes in giving love another chance.

“I don’t think I would ever get married or go into another relationship. I don’t want to give love another chance because of what I went through,” she added.
