A Facebook influencer, Warri Rebel has analyzed the biblical story of the couple, Abraham and Sarah to drive home a compelling point about respect in marriage.

She argues against the common narrative that demands submission from women to their husbands because the biblical figure, Sarah respected her husband and called him Lord.

Warri believes that submission is earned, giving into account that the patriarch, Abraham was a man who wholly adored and respected his wife.

In fact, his actions towards Sarah and her desires which formed her submissiveness to him are what most men would term ‘simping’ these days.

This, according to the influencer, is a yardstick for men to behave to their wives before expecting utmost deference on her part.

Here are the comments that trailed the post:

Ibeh Paul-Peace Chinyere: How can I love and over love this post??? This is the word of the Lord.

Maacah Edima: You mind men, always talking about honour and respect like as if it belongs only to the man

Onyekwere Ifeoma Evion: Todays men want women who will honor and worship them and in turn they will treat her like a servant or glorified housemaid😂😂

Rita Obida: A Man like Abraham who can find!
