A Hearts of Oak fan identified as One Blow has boldly claimed that coach Aboubakar Ouattara is a better coach than Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola.
He based his claim on the team’s recent victory over Medeama at the new TNA Stadium, which made them the first club ever to do so since the venue’s reconstruction.
He made his assertion after attending Kotoko’s 1-0 defeat to Heart of Lions, claiming that the Phobians have a better team than their arch-rivals Kotoko.
“Hearts of Oak has set the record at the new TNA park. The first club to beat Medeama is Hearts of Oak. Let me remind you, the first club to beat Ashgold at Obuasi was Hearts of Oak. Also, the first club to beat Young Apostles at their home was Hearts of Oak. Kotoko don’t have such a record. They should mention,” he told Ghana Sports Plus on YouTube.
“This Hearts of Oak team is strong. Let me tell you, Aboubakar Ouattara is better than Pep Guardiola,” he added.
Aboubakar Ouattara saved the Rainbow side from relegation in the previous season, four months after his hiring. He has taken them to a mid-table place after nine games in his first full season.
Hearts of Oak ended their two-game winless run with a 2-0 away win over Medeama on November 2, 2024. The win has sent them to 8th on the table with 12 points, winning three, drawing three, and losing three of the 9 matches.
Meanwhile, Manchester City’s Pep Guardiola is on pace to win his fifth consecutive Premier League title. His side’s title hopes took a hit following a 2-1 defeat to Bournemouth on November 2, 2024.
