President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Abass-Adams Nurudeen as the Acting chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Social Investment Fund.

A letter issued and signed by Dr. Callistus Mahama, Executive Secretary to President John Dramani Mahama, said the appointment takes effect, Friday, January 24, 2025.

It said the appointment was done in accordance with Article 195(1), adding that the appointment is pending the constitutionally required advice of the governing board of the Fund, given consultation with the Public Service Commission.

The private legal practitioner has 14 days to indicate his acceptance of the appointment or otherwise.

The President congratulated the appointee and wished him well.

Meanwhile, Abass-Adam Nurudeen has expressed his gratitude to the President for the appointment.

In a Facebook post, he wrote, “Thank you, Mr. President, for the honour done me.”
